VIGIL Volunteer: Providing Comfort When it's needed most!

Vigil Volunteers are a highly valued and vital part of The Sanctuary Hospice Team. Helping our patients and families during the last days and hours with emotional presence and support, so no one has to die alone. You will be sharing your compassion, gifts and talents to impact someone at the end of life’s journey. This can be the most rewarding experience and Sanctuary will make sure you are well-trained, equipped, and supported by our hospice staff. Many of our patients do not have immediate family at their bedside when they are declining. This can be an anxious and fearful time for some. Help us ease their anxiety by becoming a Vigil Volunteer. Caring for patients in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Medina, Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana and & Summit Counties. Required to complete volunteer application, background check, TB, Drug Screening and on-line training- all FREE of charge.
