Overview

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will play a crucial role in methodizing components, designing tools, and creating method sheets for manufacturing. You will utilize Solidworks for all CAD work; solid modeling experience is beneficial. CNC programming skills are a significant plus, and experience with Mastercam is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have an in-house manufacturing background and mechanical work experience across various industries. This position involves working within a growing team, providing a supportive environment with supervision and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Methodize components to create method sheets for manufacturing.
• Design tools for machining using Solidworks and other CAD programs.
• Contribute to CNC programming, with a preference for experience with Mastercam.
• Collaborate with a team of approximately 6 people, with potential for growth to around 20.
• Engage in in-house manufacturing processes, handling all mechanical work.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Solidworks for CAD design.
• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics design.
• Knowledge of mechanical parts for manufacturing in aerospace.
• Strong attention to detail and task management skills.
• Ability to conduct analysis, troubleshooting, and vibration analysis.
• Proficient in report writing and using ANSYS.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent degree in Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and tooling.

Work Environment and Location

The work environment involves both the shop floor (CNC machines and assembly) and a cubicle setting. It is a clean environment with updated machines and facilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. First shift, 40 to 50 hours per week. Dress code: business casual. This is a permanent position based in Westbury, New York.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $95,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year.
