We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Representative to expand our market presence among general contractors and maintenance professionals in all vertical markets. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships, and driving revenue growth through targeted outreach and solution-based selling. This person would be a resource for our current estimators and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and maintenance industry. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through networking, cold outreach, and industry events.
Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with general contractors and maintenance teams
Sales Strategy: Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing strategies, and presentations. Work with estimators to assist the closing of deals
Industry Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts. Provide feedback to leadership on customer needs and product/service improvements.
Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of interactions and opportunities in the CRM system. Prepare regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and goal progress.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Lead Generation: Number of qualified leads generated per month (target: 30+)
Client Meetings: Number of face-to-face or virtual meetings with prospects (target: 15 20/month)
Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted to customers (target: 20-30%)
Revenue Growth: Monthly/quarterly sales revenue generated (target: based on territory potential)
Client Retention: Repeat business or referrals from existing clients (target: 80%+ satisfaction rate)
CRM Accuracy: Timeliness and completeness of CRM updates (target: 100% compliance)
Market Expansion: Number of new accounts opened in untapped regions or sectors (target: 5-10/quarter)
