Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of acute care experience for an inpatient role requiring WA license and EPIC proficiency.
Responsibilities Work in an acute care therapy unit within a hospital setting Treat diverse inpatient populations including ortho, neuro, general medical, surgical, amputee, cardiac, ICU, and psychiatric cases Emphasis on Med/Surg, PCU, ED, and ICU patient care Mid-shift schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift schedule Potential to float between Auburn and Covington based on staffing needs EPIC electronic medical record system is used and experience is required PTA and COTA support staff are available onsite No on-call or weekend shifts are required Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of acute care inpatients across a range of medical and surgical specialties Participation in strong interdisciplinary collaboration and discharge planning Supportive team structure including PTAs and COTAs Orientation specifics not provided Scrub attire in any color or business casual is accepted; open-toed shoes are not permitted Holiday coverage requirements not specified First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Requirements Active WA Physical Therapist license required if applicable Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of acute care experience is required Demonstrated skills in patient evaluation and treatment for a variety of diagnoses and age groups Excellent discharge planning abilities Highly collaborative with clear and professional communication skills Must have experience with EPIC EMR system
