Maimonides currently has a great opportunity for a Medical Transcriptionist to document patient encounters in real-time to streamline the work flow and improve the quality of patient care.
Responsibilities
Documenting patient history, physical exam and treatment plan into the electronic medical record.
Communication with Provider - ensuring all information is correct and complete.
Comply with all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
Clerical tasks as needed (chart prep before patient appointments)
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. 2+ years' experience as a medical secretary or scribe/transcriptionist preferred. Excellent English written and verbal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Must pass basic word processing and data entry skills tests. Typing: 45 wpm (tested) Knowledge of medical terminology.
Pay Range
