Job Title: Sr. Application Support Engineer
Location: Boston, TX
Responsibilities:
Provide
L2/L3 application support
for business-critical systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve
production issues
within SLAs. Perform
incident, problem, and change management
using tools like ServiceNow/JIRA. Analyze recurring issues, drive
root cause analysis (RCA) , and implement permanent fixes. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for defect resolution and enhancements. Support
deployments, upgrades, and patching
activities in production and non-production environments. Maintain documentation, knowledge base, and standard operating procedures. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Requirements:
5-8 years
in
application support / production support . Strong skills in
SQL, Linux/Unix, scripting (Shell/Python) . Hands-on with
monitoring/logging tools
(Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ELK, etc.). Knowledge of
ITIL processes
(incident, problem, change). Familiarity with
DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines)
preferred. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
