We are seeking

Java Production Support Engineers

to join the

App Bank Support (ABO)

team at Client. This is a critical

L1/L2 application support role

focused on stability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of business-critical banking applications.

You will work closely with application owners, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders to

analyze production issues, manage on-call incidents, improve performance, and implement automation solutions .

Responsibilities: Provide

L1/L2 production support

for Java-based banking applications. Analyze and resolve incidents through

code debugging, log analysis, and SQL troubleshooting . Work actively with stakeholders and application owners to drive timely resolution. Improve application stability by identifying recurring issues and recommending permanent fixes. Manage on-call support, incident communication, and escalations as required. Build, maintain, and improve

runbooks

to minimize operational errors. Leverage automation (scripts, monitoring tools) to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Participate in

change management processes

with focus on risk mitigation in production. Develop reports to monitor application health, incident trends, and support performance. Required Skills:

Java:

Strong hands-on experience in production support (debugging, JVM, thread dumps, GC, logs). SQL/RDBMS:

Proficiency in writing/optimizing queries; preferred exposure to

Sybase ASE/IQ

or

DB2 . Unix/Linux:

Strong command-line skills for triaging and debugging (logs, processes, disk, CPU). Scripting:

Knowledge of Shell scripting (Perl/Python/JavaScript a plus). Strong problem-solving skills in

live production environments . Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with stakeholders and technical teams. Desired Skills (Good to Have):

Exposure to

Cluster Computing / Big Data solutions

(Hadoop, Spark, HDFS). Experience with

automation and monitoring tools

(Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.). Prior experience in

financial services / banking domain

support roles.
