About Fisher Island Club Hotel & Resort: Accessible only by ferryboat or private yacht, the property comprises cottages, villas, and guesthouse suites around the Vanderbilt Mansion and offers a private membership club with a beach club, hotel, golf, tennis, marinas, dining venues, spa, salon, fitness center, theater, aviary, and observatory. Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet all Members and Guests warmly.
  • Provide locker, robes and slippers as needed.
  • Check in all persons getting treatments.
  • Tour them if needed and familiarize them with the Locker Rooms, wet areas and amenities provided.
  • Maintain bathrooms by inspecting hourly for cleanliness and proper paper and towel requirements.
  • Maintain refreshment area with fruits, coffee, teas and condiments (keeping it clean and with a good presentation).
  • Keep TV volumes down and spa music at required levels at all times.
  • Keep air fresh and pleasantly scented throughout Locker Room and wet areas.
  • Wash basins and all items in immediate area; clean hourly and restock as needed.
  • Stock hand towels at each wash basin for Members and Guests.
  • Maintain laundry and linens as instructed through laundry service; document pick ups/drop offs.
  • Perform a walk-through of Locker Rooms at shift start, shift end, and every 30 minutes to inspect cleanliness, restocking, guest needs and safety.
  • Clean and replace disposal containers as required.
  • Prepare small towels for ice trays two hours after opening and maintain during hours of operation.
  • Ensure towels are folded and readily available in appropriate areas.
  • Keep locker room floors clean at all times and clean mirrors hourly.
  • Disinfect showers daily, restock accessories after use, and check soap dispensers.
  • Inspect cleaning and paper products and order as needed weekly.
  • Responsible for assignment of Locker Key and billing to account.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak and write English.
  • Professional in manner and appearance with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and enjoy working with people.
  • Good judgment, hospitality-greeting people and speaking with people.
  • Ability to promote/market to support events and activities.
  • Positive attitude about people, position, co-workers and employer.
  • Ability to maintain spa equipment levels as instructed.
  • Ability to work any day or shift, weekends and holidays included.

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Experience in Spa Locker Room, Hotel or Resort and a CPR & AED certification required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds and assist with plated weights.
  • Ability to stand a minimum of 8 hours or duration of shift.
  • Ability to walk to various outlets.

Working Conditions

  • Tropical climate.
  • Ability to implement emergency procedures such as CPR and emergency notification.
