Plant Manager
The Plant Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all plant operations to achieve production goals while maintaining quality standards, meeting customer delivery requirements, and controlling costs. This role oversees production, purchasing, and shipping coordination while managing budgets, workflow, employee relations, and performance standards.
Responsibilities of the Plant Manager
Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing and maintenance operations to maximize return on assets
Develop and implement strategies to minimize costs through efficient use of manpower, equipment, facilities, and materials
Ensure production schedules and quality standards meet or exceed customer expectations
Coordinate efforts across departments including production, scheduling, materials control, quality assurance, HR, and accounting
Lead daily production scheduling meetings to identify and resolve operational issues
Establish team and individual accountability for problem-solving and cost reduction initiatives
Oversee operating budgets and manage spending relative to production volume changes
Address employee concerns and grievances promptly while fostering a positive work environment
Provide input and recommendations regarding quality, performance, raw materials, packaging, and formulations
Maintain knowledge of current production and management practices, implementing best practices as appropriate
Requirements of the Plant Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in the food industry
Proven leadership and team management skills with a track record of employee development
Strong financial and analytical abilities, including cost control and budgeting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $130,000 - $140,000 annually, based on experience
