Store/Night Clerk role at Fred Meyer.

Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $18.50/hr.

Responsibilities

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Minimum qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Effective communication skills

Desired qualifications

• Any retail experience
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing)
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh products
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
• Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs
• Notify management of accidents
• Report safety risks and illegal activity as required
