Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping. Responsibilities

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers pick up.
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following all bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at time of pick-up.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders from Order Selector; store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions provided in notes; ensure item quality and freshness.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations and ensure order accuracy; load orders into customers' cars.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Follow policies to determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the e-Commerce supervisor; inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures; assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues; provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Position Qualifications: Ability to work without supervision; ability to read shelf tags; basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction); excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Desired Previous Experience: Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or cashier experience.
