Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to on-line shopping. Responsibilities

  • Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper is responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' on-line orders with attention to freshness and quality.
  • Initiate and complete the selection process for customers' on-line orders.
  • Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick up.
  • Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
  • Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at the time of pick‑up.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
  • Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
  • Read and follow directions given in notes; ensure quality and freshness of items.
  • Communicate with customers via a portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
  • Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load into customers' cars.
  • Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages online shopping.
  • Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
  • Follow policies to determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
  • Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and temperature issues to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
  • Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair.
  • Perform required opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Position Qualifications:
    • Ability to work without supervision
    • Ability to read shelf tags
    • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
    • Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience

  • Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
