Job Description
Develop and implement efficient estimation processes for product engineering Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate product costings Utilize SolidWorks to design custom fixturing/tooling to aid production Process work orders/Engineering jobs and work through company ERP system to route jobs Support New Product Development initiatives, working to develop sustainable manufacturing processes for new production lines. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies Support the development of junior staff through knowledge sharing Contribute to team meetings and strategy development sessions Handle other duties as assigned by management MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
5+ years experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering role, within a fastener manufacturing environment Prior knowledge of cold heading is required Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field Prior experience conducting quoting/estimating activities for manufacturing Experience working with external vendors/subcontractors to assess costs of materials Strong ability to read & interpret blueprints & manufacturing drawings Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles What's on Offer
