Responsibilities
- Make daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or worn parts or signs of tampering.
- Pickup materials (dirt, stone, or asphalt), haul to jobsite locations and deliver materials. Repeat process as needed in a safe and timely manner as directed.
- Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
- Communicate regularly with dispatcher to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or site conditions are reported promptly.
- Comply with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Night-Shift is available for this role.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience on construction sites.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License is required.
- One year of CDL driving in a vehicle with a GVW of 33,000 pounds or greater is required.
- Previous dump truck experience is preferred.
