Job Description
We are seeking a
Mainframe Developer
with strong technical expertise in IBM mainframe applications development, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and related technologies, along with a proven ability to support and enhance mission-critical applications in a hybrid environment.
Required Qualifications Progressive experience in IBM mainframe applications development, testing, and production support. Strong technical background with
COBOL II, CICS, DB2, Z/OS, VSAM, TSO, Syncsort, DB2 utilities, JCL, and IBM utilities . Skilled in maintaining and debugging CICS applications, COBOL batch processing, and DB2 stored procedures. Knowledge of
Top Secret
for mainframe applications IAM and application-level security controls. Proficiency in both
batch and online processing
within a mainframe environment. Solid experience with
SQL queries, database operations, and reporting . Participation in an
application on-call support rotation . Preferred Qualifications
Experience converting
mainframe COBOL applications
to modern distributed applications (Java, Python, etc.). Familiarity with
IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI), Watson Code Assistant for Z (WCA4Z), or other AI-based code generation/conversion tools . Experience with IBM development/testing utilities and
BMC Control products . Exposure to
Change Management and Control-D reports . Knowledge of the
FFEL program and student loan applications . Awareness of
non-public information (NPI) privacy safeguards .
