Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team for a variety of state-funded projects, including state prisons, office buildings, medical facilities, schools, wastewater treatment plants, and medical marijuana dispensaries. You will be responsible for designing all electrical aspects, including wiring, power distribution, and lighting, using AutoCAD and Revit. This position offers a significant opportunity for career advancement into Engineering and Project Management roles within a few years.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems including wiring, power distribution, and lighting.

Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for design work.

Collaborate on state-funded projects such as state prisons, office buildings, and medical facilities.

Occasionally travel to job sites in Michigan as necessary.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or a similar technical field.

3-5 years of experience in electrical design.

Proficiency in CAD software.

Experience with building and construction projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Revit.

3+ years of experience in electrical design focused on power distribution and lighting.

Work Environment

The team recently moved into a new space with a capacity for up to 200 people, currently housing about 75 team members. The environment is collaborative and fun, with a team-first mentality. Core working hours are from 8 am to 4 pm, with some flexibility. Weekend work is not expected unless projects are behind schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
