Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:30); Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required; new travelers accepted License: Valid state license required prior to start Certifications: Required - BCLS, NIH, ACLS; Preferred - CCRN Must-Have: Conscious Sedation, ICP and Vents Skills Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity Flu vaccine required Description: Seeking a registered nurse for a Neuro ICU position. The nurse will work 3x12-hour shifts with day and night options available. The majority of shifts are day shifts, with potential night shifts based on scheduling needs. Experience with special equipment such as EVDs, Raumedic Bolt, and CVVH is essential. Skills in conscious sedation and management of ventilated patients are required. Nurses will care for patients with conditions such as ischemic stroke, head trauma, and brain masses. The position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary support team. The nurse will perform various patient care tasks, including IV starts, phlebotomy, and monitoring ICP. Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS is required. Additional preferred skills include arterial line management and post-neurosurgery care. This role ensures a positive impact on patient outcomes in a critical care setting.
