Travel Nurse RN - Neuro - $2,816 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. License: Must have DC license in hand prior to start date. Certifications: Required - BCLS, NIH, ACLS; Preferred - CCRN. Must-Have: Conscious Sedation skills. ICP monitoring and Ventilator skills. Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro ICU. Shifts will primarily be during the day, with up to two weeks of night shifts possible within a six-week schedule. Candidates must provide proof of pending status if applicable. The role involves managing special equipment such as EVD, Raumedic Bolt, Artic Sun, and CVVH. Experience with arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and neuro intensive care is preferred. Responsibilities include monitoring patients and administering medications. Ability to assist with various clinical procedures and manage CRRT is essential. The unit supports a diverse patient population, dealing with conditions such as strokes and traumatic brain injuries. This position requires adherence to infection prevention protocols and utilization of PPE. The role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Weekends and holidays are required as needed, with specified weekend shifts outlined in the scheduling guidelines. Candidates should be prepared for possible floating to other ICUs or IMCs. Compliance with vaccination policies is mandatory. No call requirements are expected.
