Job Summary
Reporting to the Global Manufacturing IT team, the System Development and Support Engineer II will be involved in support and project development for Automation, MES, and manufacturing-related applications. This includes design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support. The role requires working closely with business stakeholders to define manufacturing specifications and requirements, ensuring system uptime, and driving continuous improvement through performance monitoring and technology research.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and develop Automation, MES, and manufacturing-related applications.
• Design, implement, maintain, and support manufacturing IT systems.
• Work with business teams to define manufacturing specifications and requirements.
• Ensure application uptime and availability for end users on the manufacturing floor.
• Participate in solution research and development for new technology insertion.
• Monitor application performance and implement continuous improvements.
Required Qualifications
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 3–5 years of IT software development experience in a Multinational Corporation (MNC).
• Knowledge of system analysis methodology and system development.
• Strong project coordination and database troubleshooting skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Sense of responsibility and ownership of tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the electronics manufacturing sector.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), equipment integration, transaction automation, and parametric data integration.
• Familiarity with Java programming, AS400, Linux, and Data Integration Services.
• Extensive experience in SQL queries and database design.
• Understanding of coding standards and organizational programming practices.
Education:
Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree
