Job Summary
Responsible for the overall delivery of the Terrain Park experience by supervising Terrain Park staff and coordinating time and resources with the hill maintenance. Reports to Lift Operations Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for setup, take down, and maintenance of all Terrain Park features. Design plans for the terrain park layout, considering the natural features of the mountain. Operate and maintain maintenance equipment while in use. Complete all applicable paperwork for each shift. Inspect, test, and maintain Terrain Parks. Document and report all safety issues. Complete all daily logs and checklists and have them readily available in the Ullr app. Perform light maintenance and repairs to equipment. Follow all established safety guidelines while operating company equipment Monitor Terrain Park trends and usage. Monitor Terrain Park Supervisors and Attendants to ensure a safe and professional experience for guests. Control Terrain Park budget and payroll wages to ensure a safe, cost-effective, quality Terrain Park program. Adjust and monitor features to meet operational needs, as directed and as weather permits. Recruit, train, and coach Terrain Park employees. Communicate with the Marketing Department to promote Terrain Park via relevant communication methods and tools. Assist with freestyle events and competitions taking place in the Terrain Park. Competencies:
2-3 years of progressive hands-on Terrain Park in a leadership role and/or ski area maintenance experience required. Mechanical and technological aptitude preferred. Have a good understanding of how to use Ullr preferred. Experienced snowmobile/groomer operator strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills. Must be flexible and able to react to changing situations. Education:
A high school diploma required. Specific ski area management education preferred or commiserate hands-on experience. Physical & Other Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Able to effectively use personal protective equipment (PPE) with use of equipment emitting loud noises, high pressure mechanicals and some hazardous materials. Able to work any shift, weekends and holidays as schedule and weather dictates. Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule. Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration. Non-smoking candidates preferred.
