$1760 - $1890 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Wisconsin or compact state) BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred) Experience in Med/Surg, Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, or IDD preferred Med/Surg Nurse Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ongoing clinical support Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure safety and continuity of care Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and procedures Contribute to unit team building and a supportive work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested following orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
