Job Summary
As a vital member of the clinical team, you will assist healthcare providers by performing patient care duties within the scope of your license. Your responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, assisting with treatments and procedures, administering immunizations under supervision, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will also coordinate referrals and ensure exam rooms are well-stocked and clean, all while upholding excellent infection control practices.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program. Experience and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire. Requirements and Skills
Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently with good judgment. Commitment to teamwork, adaptability, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Work Environment
This full-time position involves an 8-hour shift schedule, with duties including rooming patients for Sleep Medicine early in the week and floating to other specialties later in the week. The role offers a supportive atmosphere with opportunities for ongoing learning and professional growth.
