Summary:
As a member of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House Development Team, the Development/Administrative Intern is responsible for supporting event planning tasks - primarily the Fall Gala and the Spring Walk for Kids, supporting donor cultivation activities, researching potential funders, supporting development communications and other administrative tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support fall Gala preparations, including solicitation for the silent auction, sponsorship mailings, etc.
Support team development, logistics and communications for the Walk for Kids
Assist in fundraising, appeals, other special events, projects and mailings
Coordinate in-kind donations
Provide administrative and clerical support, including filing, organizing, etc.
Research donor information, including telephone numbers, email addresses, etc.
Support the PRMH team with other clerical and office duties as needed
Education, Experience and Qualifications Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-starter with initiative
Experience with MS Word, Excel, proficiency with donor database desired
Experience in fundraising campaigns and/or public relations for a nonprofit organization a plus
Working toward Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or Development Certificate
Willingness to learn
