We are seeking a dedicated
Medical Office Assistant
to provide both clinical and administrative support to physicians and healthcare staff. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient care, including venipuncture, EKGs, vital signs, and specimen collection. Support physicians during exams and procedures; prepare patients and relay instructions to patients and families. Perform clerical duties such as managing medical records, obtaining reports, completing forms, and handling calls. Enter orders into EMR, prepare prescription refill requests, and maintain accurate chart documentation. Set up exam rooms and medical instruments, following infection control and sterilization protocols. Maintain and restock supplies; monitor expiration dates and ensure compliance with safety policies. May schedule surgeries or procedures, coordinate pre-admission and consent forms. May perform phlebotomy, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certifications. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications Minimum
3 years of experience
as a Medical Assistant. Strong background in clinical support and administrative duties. Certification as a Medical Assistant (from an accredited institution). Basic proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite . Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse populations. Education High School Diploma or GED required.
