The Social Media Manager will lead the social media strategy for Five Guys in North America while partnering with global teams to ensure a consistent brand presence worldwide. This individual will oversee day-to-day execution of Five Guys' social media channels, manage content development to ensure brand consistency. The Social Media Manager will play a pivotal role in the hiring and training a Social Media Specialist as well as supervise, develop and mentor this individual. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the Marketing sub-departments and cross-functional stakeholders to drive engagement, increase messaging reach, and delivering measurable results that align with company goals.
Brand Leadership: Define and articulate the company's brand vision, positioning, and storytelling to ensure a consistent identity and voice across all touchpoints. • Campaign Development: Translate strategic priorities into integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, customer acquisition, loyalty, and franchisee growth. • Brand Marketing Calendar Ownership: Develop and manage the brand marketing calendar at a strategic level, ensuring integration and alignment across product, field, performance marketing, and loyalty initiatives. • Executive Storytelling & Alignment: Partner with executive leadership to ensure brand storytelling reinforces customer experience, supports enterprise growth, and reflects cultural alignment. • Creative Asset Development Oversight: Oversee development of creative assets and messaging, setting objectives and ensuring delivery against milestones across agency and internal teams. • Creative Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary creative and marketing team, cultivating a culture of innovation and results. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Operations, Franchise Development, Menu/Innovation, and Digital teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives. • Channel Integration: Oversee the seamless integration of campaigns across digital, social, social, traditional media, in-store activations, and community engagement. • Agency & Vendor Management: Lead and manage external agencies and partners, ensuring world-class creative execution and cost efficiency. • Data-Driven Marketing: Utilize consumer insights, trends, and analytics to inform strategies and measure campaign impact. • Franchisee Support: Collaborate with franchise owners to provide brand-aligned marketing tools, resources, and guidance to help them grow their businesses. •
Innovation & Growth: Stay ahead of evolving consumer and media trends to position the brand as a leader within the industry. Qualifications
Education/Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (MBA preferred). • 10+ years of progressive experience in brand management and integrated marketing, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. • Experience in multi-unit retail, restaurant, hospitality, or franchise organizations strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of brand development, consumer marketing, and performance-driven strategies.
