Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Assignment Length:
13 weeks (October 6, 2025 - January 5, 2026) Shift:
4x10-hour day shifts (06:45 - 17:15), weekend rotation required, no on-call Hours per Week:
40 Estimated Weekly Salary Range:
$2600-$2790 Employment Type:

Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Unit Size:
10 beds CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting Active California RN license (required at time of application) BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required Experience with Orthopedic, Vascular, and Robotic Surgery procedures Scrubbing experience highly preferred Previous travel nursing experience required Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting experience preferred Ability to float to outpatient surgery as needed Available for lab work within 3-5 days of offer acceptance All certifications must be current and in hand at time of application CVOR RN Responsibilities
Assess, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients Provide direct patient care and patient/family education in the CVOR Develop and implement individualized care plans considering psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and patient support groups Participate in weekend rotation and float to outpatient surgery as needed Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
