Responsible for assisting with company-wide safety program the development and administration of all safety policies and procedures. The Safety Manager will establish reliable methods for improving safety performance and creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Promote safety integrity throughout the entire company Monitor safety compliance Plan, implement and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs Maintain high levels of communication with job site managers, and local, federal, and state agencies such as MSHA, OSHA, and DOT Prepare, tailor, and present training topics to large groups to the level and experience of the audience Administer, monitor, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of accident reports and investigations Collect, analyze, and maintain safety statistics and injury and illness records Facilitate MSHA, OSHA, and DOT safety training Conduct job site inspections Train new and existing Safety Superintendents Write Toolbox Talks Interpret and adopt new Federal/State regulations Conduct accident and incident investigations Qualifications Bachelors degree in safety management preferred but not required 10-12 years of experience in construction safety Overnight travel and flexibility to travel with little to no notice is required Position is based out of our Goshen corporate office Experience in OSHA Construction (1926 & 1910) compliance preferred Knowledge in MSHA & DOT rules and regulations Exceptional organizational skills Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong quantitative and analytical skills Problem-solving skills with attention to detail Self-motivated; ability to work independently Good written and verbal communication skills Equal Opportunity Employer It is the policy of Rieth-Riley to assure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their veteran status, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, color, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, citizen status, and/or any other applicable legally-recognized protected class under local, state, or federal law.
