This role shall be responsible for compliance with the Authoritys System Safety Plan (SSP), FRA, and CPUC safety related requirements. Position needs to be an expert in Mechanical Code of Federal Regulations. Lead and follow up on corrective actions for safety audits, lead safety committees, Emergency Response Drills, reporting, acting on unsafe/hazardous conditions, or accident and incident reporting.
Regarding training
Design, develop and implement a comprehensive training, testing, qualification, certification, and monitor programs that comply with the federal requirements under the Code of Federal Regulations, as well as Contractors Authority approved training requirements.
Cross collaboration with different teams/functions in particular the Operations, Equipment, Maintenance of Way/Signal, Facilities as well as suppliers, and vendors in developing annual training scope, schedules and budget(s) and then conducting training for the Alstom employees as well as various other stakeholders. Collaborate with IT to ensure employees have the most correct and current rules and requirements, as well as ensure a digital and easily tracked business environment with the Authority. Weve listed what we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Rail Transportation, or related fieldor equivalent experience. 10 years experience in a similar role with senior management experience (i.e. Safety & Training Manager, Rail Compliance Manager etc.) within a Rail environment for a commuter railroad or Class 1 with service and territory complexity. Prior experience that demonstrates accomplishments that enhanced efficiency, accuracy, reliability, timeliness and regarded among peers as a Railroad infrastructure maintenance subject matter expert. Knowledge of FRA, CPUC and other State and local regulations and practices related to the contracted operations, maintenance, and capital work.
