Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Travel Position
Location: Clinton, MD Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3×12s Nights Pay: $2,323.80/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Clinton, MD on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide expert care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate is experienced in obstetric nursing, calm under pressure, and dedicated to delivering safe, family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, contractions, and labor progression, intervening as needed.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including induction agents and epidurals.
Support physicians, midwives, and the care team during deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
Educate mothers and families on labor processes, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and evidence-based practices in labor and delivery.
Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in Maryland (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills in high-acuity situations.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
