RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze architectural plans, specs, and addenda to produce accurate takeoffs and pricing that help customers submit competitive bids Validate performance and structural requirements with engineering as needed so proposals meet design intent and code expectations Prepare detailed scopes of work and formal quotations that reduce ambiguity and set projects up for smooth handoffs Source and compare vendor quotations for non-standard items to balance cost, lead time, and compliance Track cost trends and recommend improvements to estimating procedures to tighten variance between estimated and actuals
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction, engineering, drafting, or a related field Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications with strong attention to detail Familiarity with computer-aided drafting and V6 estimating software; solid skills in Microsoft Office Comfort coordinating with engineers and suppliers to clarify performance criteria and pricing assumptions Safety-minded, quality-focused, and organized under deadlines; team player who communicates clearly
