The Advising and Academic Support department invites applications for the Student Success Coach position. The Student Success Coach will facilitate advising, academic and transitional support, provide student programming and services, create partnerships and be a liaison, and assess program and service levels for continuous improvement.

Job Functions:

Enrollment and Orientation:

Supports students by guiding them through the enrollment and orientation process. Provides advising on academic pathways and program fit to promote early engagement and informed choices. Engages in individual and group orientation advising and registration sessions and transition programming with the goal of preparing students for successful entry into college. Plans and facilitates student engagement events. Academic and Transition Support:

Provides holistic academic and transition support through proactive advising and case management. Maintains a student caseload, using the College's early alert system to engage and support students. Develops educational plans aligned with career goals, conducts outreach to students needing extra support, and connects them to resources. Advocates for students by helping them navigate challenges and supports transitions across academic milestones, transfer, and career preparation. Collateral Assignment:

Provides planning and coordination in an assigned emphasis area and/or serves as a departmental liaison based on emergent College needs and strategic priorities. Evaluation and Assessment:

Assists in the evaluation and assessment of the success coach role resources and services. Maintains accurate records and tracks student progress. Develops related reports and monitors service levels. Recommends opportunities for continuous improvement. OTHER:

Supports and assists with boards, presentations, training, special projects, and initiatives. Participates in professional development activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements

A Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs. Ability to work well with a diverse population of students; knowledge of best practices in academic advising and support; strong critical thinking and problem solving skills; effective oral and written communication skills; and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
