The Director of Philanthropy will lead the organization's major giving program, expanding individual and major gifts while serving as a visible and trusted partner to executive leadership, the development team, and the local community. The ideal candidate is an experienced, self-starting fundraising professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, values flexibility, and is deeply committed to engaging and connecting with donors in

Manage and grow a portfolio of current and prospective major donors, focusing on five- and six-figure contributions. Design and implement strategies for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Collaborate with executive leadership and the development team to set fundraising goals informed by donor data and organizational priorities. Build lasting relationships with donors, individuals, and organizations in
Harford and Cecil Counties
aligned with the mission. Support planning and execution of cultivation and fundraising events, including donor follow-up and conversion activities. Represent the organization at local events and business networking functions in
Aberdeen, MD , and the surrounding community. Maintain accurate donor records and reporting in the CRM, ensuring a data-informed approach to portfolio management. Qualifications:
Proven track record in fundraising, including securing five- and six-figure gifts from individual donors. Experience with donor management systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge or similar CRM). Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Strong connections to
Harford and/or Cecil County , or surrounding communities. Thrives in a highly collaborative, non-bureaucratic environment with open access to leadership. Comfortable managing a hybrid schedule while maintaining strong onsite and community presence. Compensation and Benefits:
