Voice Engineer Location:

6-Month Contract (with possibility of converting to permanent position)
As Voice Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining enterprise voice systems that support both clinical and administrative operations. This role focuses on delivering reliable, secure, and scalable communication platforms while ensuring seamless integration with business applications and compliance with industry standards.
Your role: Design and manage enterprise voice systems including VoIP, PBX, SIP trunks, and unified communications platforms such as Avaya, RingCentral, and Microsoft Teams. Configure call routing, dial plans, voicemail, and endpoint integrations to ensure efficient communication workflows. Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply proactive solutions to maintain system availability and call quality. Collaborate with IT teams and business units to assess needs and implement tailored voice solutions. Lead initiatives such as upgrades, migrations, and vendor coordination to strengthen voice infrastructure. Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures. Ensure security and HIPAA compliance across all voice platforms. Provide Tier 3 support, mentoring junior staff and sharing knowledge to elevate team capability. Integrate voice solutions with enterprise applications including EHR platforms, paging systems, contact centers, and mobile tools. What you've got:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. At least 5 years of experience in enterprise voice engineering. Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols, SIP, QoS, and network fundamentals. Experience working with Avaya IP Office, RingCentral EX/CX, or Microsoft Teams Voice. Clear communication skills and ability to produce thorough documentation. Preferred: certifications such as CCNA Collaboration, Avaya Certified Specialist, or Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer. Preferred: background with call center technologies, reporting tools, and emergency paging systems.
