Responsibilities Coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. Interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect. Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents; generate traffic, qualify prospects, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork. Ensure model apartments are in touring condition and orient residents to the property. Process renewal paperwork and deliver documentation monthly. Maintain accurate records of traffic activity and follow up with prospective residents via phone, mail or email. Convert phone traffic into scheduled property tours and coordinate move-in/out with maintenance. Create and maintain confidential resident files and review move-in paperwork with new residents. Complete weekly leasing reports and manage open/close procedures daily. Assist with resident relations, process work orders, and provide clerical support as needed. Assist with planning resident activities to increase retention and comply with company policies and safety rules.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required. Experience: Minimum of one year of sales experience preferred; one year of residential leasing experience preferred.
Skills and Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system preferred. Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with urgency. Ability to read, write, and converse in English; proficient with general office equipment. Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to cope with difficult situations. Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record and current auto insurance. Compliance with safety requirements and completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
