Job Title: Leasing Consultant Company: Avenue5 Residential Salary: $22 to $23 + commission Were looking for a talented leasing consultant who will coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. The leasing consultant interacts directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. Responsibilities
Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect. Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents; generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork. Maintain model apartments in touring condition. Orient prospective and current residents to the property; process renewal paperwork and deliver documentation monthly. Maintain accurate records of traffic activity in the computer system. Follow up with prospective residents via phone, mail, or email; convert phone traffic into scheduled tours. Inspect apartments prior to move-ins and coordinate move-in/out with the maintenance team. Create and maintain confidential resident files and review move-in paperwork with new residents. Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and timely; follow open/close procedures daily. Assist with ongoing resident relations; respond to requests promptly and accurately. Research and compare competitive properties; inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness; notify maintenance of repairs needed. Assist with processing work orders and ensure timely completion. Provide clerical support as needed (phone, filing, processing invoices); assist with planning resident activities to increase retention. Comply with company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma required. Minimum of one year of previous sales experience preferred. One year of prior residential leasing experience preferred. Skills and Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others. Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong communication skills with all levels of management and ability to handle confidential matters. Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. Ability to convey technical concerns with clarity; strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to use general office equipment and a key track system; strong time-management skills. Ability to cope with and defuse difficult situations; valid drivers license and clean driving record with current auto insurance required.
