Our growing business is in need of a Human Resources Generalist to assist our employees in our Distribution Center. Under the direction of the Sr. HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Generalist is accountable for providing support to the Operations (Distribution) and Facilities groups within TTI in the areas of staffing, employee relations, legal compliance, performance management, and employee and management coaching. Accountabilities Ensures new employees for respective group(s) are effectively integrated into TTI by facilitating the HR new hire onboarding program. Conducts follow up with new employees and managers to ensure effective onboarding. Maintains a positive employee relations environment by providing individual counseling and advice to managers, supervisors and employees. Under the direction of a HR Business Partner, investigates employee complaints (e.g., discrimination, harassment, unfair treatment) in a prompt and fair manner and recommends appropriate actions to resolve concerns and minimize risk. Ensures consistent application of HR policies and employment/labor laws within supported group(s) by communicating and interpreting policies to managers, supervisors and employees. Monitors policy compliance and elevates concerns as appropriate. Recommends new policies or policy changes as appropriate. Effectively manages temporary service agencies supporting group hiring needs by coordinating candidate flow, providing ongoing review and interaction with agencies regarding cost, service, and quality expectations. Provides assistance with all recruiting activities as needed. Under the direction of the Sr. HR Business Partner, works with Management to administer the Corrective Action/Performance Management Process in a fair and consistent manner. Gathers documentation and recommends for approval any involuntary separations. Coordinates the exit interview process for assigned employees, schedules exit interviews, surfaces areas of concern to Sr. HR Business Partner, and recommends retention strategies as appropriate. Mitigates unemployment liability by ensuring prompt responses to unemployment claims and by protesting chargebacks as appropriate. Performs special programs/projects as assigned (e.g., Job Description Development, Annual Performance/Merit Review process, Employee Events, Safety) in a timely and accurate manner.
Education & Experience
A minimum of two to five years of professional HR experience is required. Experience in distribution or electronics manufacturing is a plus. A Bachelors Degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources or Business) is strongly preferred. Skills & Certifications
Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to HR practices and procedures. Analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong listening skills. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to build relationships with employees and managers. Strong customer service orientation to respond to internal customer needs in a timely manner. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple priorities. Knowledge of Microsoft applications at the intermediate level preferred. Professional certification from SHRM or HRCI preferred.
