The HR Specialist will partner with the campus community to provide HR services and solutions in support of the faculty, staff and students at Georgia Gwinnett College. This position will have both administrative and operational responsibilities, helping to plan and administer important functions related to on-campus student employment, dual appointments, and HR operations as a whole. This position plays a key role in supporting the successful growth and development of the expanding HR service platform including initiatives that help set the foundation for a supportive, positive culture. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for student employment, assisting in the implementation of Student Employment guidelines, practices, and procedures. Collaborate with campus departments on staffing strategies, provide guidance and support to students seeking campus employment, act as the campus liaison for student employment, and oversee the online talent acquisition process. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the student employment experience and collaborate with HR leadership to create and implement innovative, long-term solutions. Serves as Dual Appointment Coordinator and subject matter expert (SME), including coordination and facilitation of form completion, determination of institutional designation, invoicing and payment, records retention, and policy compliance. Assist with the oversight and maintenance of the applicant tracking system; provide technical assistance to employees and candidates; administer system training. Collect, organize, and maintain employee data within HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy by cleaning and validating information, assisting with data analysis by extracting and preparing data sets, and generating basic reports to support HR decision making; Works closely with Director of HR Operations to support larger projects and initiatives. Supports HR Operations as it relates to data reporting, returning part-time faculty, summer appointments, and annual faculty contract process, new hire onboarding, and exit interviews Required Qualifications

4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related discipline 2+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PeopleSoft HCM, recruiting support, onboarding, and compliance experience Experience in higher education HR Proposed Salary

45,300 - 56,600
