Description
The Quality Engineer supports a team in the creation and execution of automation tests providing customization and deployment of an enterprise-wide solution and ongoing operational support for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Using a SAFe Agile delivery framework, this project provides users with a low code / no code customizable workflow solution. Most users are non-technical, requiring solutions to be intuitive and highly flexible.
Position Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality throughout the software development life cycle
• Participates in reviews of systems and elements under development to ensure traceability of requirement compliance through verification and validation
• Participates in weekly demonstrations and reviews for testing results and test activities
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and technical specifications
• Maintain test scripts and testing artifacts
• Ensure high quality for all development enhancements
• Maintain best practice and industry standards
• Work collaboratively to support team activities
Requirements
Must strong working knowledge of automation testing, with experience using Playwright for end-to-end testing. Must have strong knowledge of JavaScript Familiarity with using GO for automation testing. Ability to automate tasks and control applications using JavaScript. Strong html skills. Familiarity with DevOps and version control, with particular focus on Git. Must have problem-solving skills in order to devise ways to redesign products and processes for improvement Strong oral and written communication skills to facilitate communicating testing results, risk identification and team collaboration Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline 5 years of relevant experience 3 years of relevant experience supporting government contracts preferred Experience working in VA highly preferred Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience desired Agile / SAFe 4 experience desired Experience with 508 accessibility testing Why Join Sierra7?
