Overview

Quality Assurance Manager at Sierra7, Inc. to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of the quality management framework for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veteran Experience Services (VES) Eligibility and Enrollment 2.0 program initiative. This position is primarily remote with occasional travel to the DC/VA/MD area for program meetings or conferences. Position Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the quality management strategy, framework, and standards for the E&E 2.0 program. Oversee test planning, test execution, and defect management across multiple development and integration teams. Establish and track quality metrics, KPIs, and acceptance criteria for program deliverables. Ensure compliance with VA standards, federal regulations, and security requirements throughout the release lifecycle. Conduct quality audits, reviews, and assessments of deliverables, documentation, and processes. Collaborate with product owners, developers, release managers, and business stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded into requirements and design phases. Provide support for test automation strategies, tools, and CI/CD quality gates. Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive resolution of quality-related issues. Deliver reports and briefings on quality status, risks, and improvement opportunities. Support continuous improvement across the program and provide recommendations for enhancements to QA processes, tools, and governance. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

Demonstrated success managing QA teams and ensuring quality across multiple concurrent releases. Proficiency with QA and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Selenium, TestRail, or equivalent). Strong background in test management, defect management, and software quality standards. Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to effectively communicate in person, over video conferencing, and by phone. Familiarity with VA eligibility/enrollment systems, policies, and workflows, preferred. Familiarity with 508 Compliance (desired). The ability to operate in a high stress environment. Must be able to obtain government public trust. Occasional travel may be required to government sites or for stakeholder meetings. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, quality management, engineering, or related field – (8 years’ experience and/or a relevant certification may be considered in lieu of degree) 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance Why Join Sierra7?
