Position Summary
The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Administrator 4 will perform duties in a mentorship capacity to Program Administrator 2 and Program Administrator 3 positions. In addition to supporting a residency or fellowship program, the incumbent will be responsible for identifying growth opportunity including specialty-specific curriculum review, program goals and objectives, document review preparation, training in GME information systems, participate in reviewing annual accreditation documents and ensuring program policies and procedures are compliant with LSUHSC, ACGME and specialty-specific requirements. The incumbent will report to both the GME office and the department the individual is working in presently.
Qualified applicants must currently be a Residency Program Administrator 2 or 3 in the School of Medicine.
Additional Position Information
In addition to the duties of the residency or fellowship program, the incumbent will be a integral part of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) team working closely with both faculty and staff within the GME office as well as Residency Program Administrators within the individual residency and fellowship programs.
In this capacity, the incumbent will identify growth opportunity for ACGME program requirements for other programs, share knowledge on GME Information Systems, review policies and procedures for programs to determine compliance with LSUHSC, ACGME and specialty-specific requirements. The incumbent will directly supervise a Residency Program Administrator 1 that would have responsibility to assist the Program Administrator 4 with operational day-to-day duties.
Eligible candidates must be current employees in the role of Residency Program Administrator 2 or 3 at LSUHSC-NO.
