Mechanical Engineering Manager – Custom Automation Machines
Location:

What You’ll Do
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 11–12 engineers/designers (expanding to 20).
Set goals, assign work, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to spec.
Provide hands-on technical guidance in
custom machine builds : robotics, precision assembly, pick-and-place, conveyors, cams, servos, and asynchronous systems.
Oversee design reviews, risk mitigation, and cost-effective solutions.
Maintain CAD/PLM standards and implement best practices.
Recruit, develop, and hold the team accountable while supporting ISO 13485 compliance.
Collaborate across departments and with customers/vendors to ensure project success.
What You Bring
BSME or equivalent experience.
10+ years of
custom-built machine design
and automation experience.
Proven leadership in managing and mentoring engineering teams.
Strong hands-on design experience with robotics, precision mechanisms, drives, and automation components.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PLM software, and related tools.
Strong communication skills with solid technical and business judgment.
Willingness to relocate and travel as needed.
