Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Manager located in Henrico, VA . Reporting to the Director, Design, Process and Technology Engineering , the Mechanical Engineering Manager role involves managing a team of process engineers working on improving process engineering capabilities to support a specific area of a manufacturing organization. What a typical day looks like: Leading the development of critical power solutions supporting various industries, including financial institutions and data centers. Analyzing customer feedback and working on product designs that meet their needs while adhering to engineering standards and project timelines. Engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements for new or existing products and mechanical systems. Managing a team of engineers and CAD designers, guiding them from concept development to final design. Focusing on manufacturability and assembly, ensuring the reliability and maintainability of electrical systems. Creating prototypes, testing them, and analyzing results to refine designs. Submitting project deliverables to stakeholders and providing support throughout the building process to ensure compliance with design specifications. Traveling and being available outside of normal business hours as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited). Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience. Knowledge of UL standards such as UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950. Experience managing a small team of engineers and meeting design deadlines. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Inventor, Vault, and MS Office. Strong problem-solving skills and mathematical understanding. Experience with electrical equipment design standards. Familiarity with project management methodologies.
