Maintenance Assistant - Ft. Smith, AR

Provides support to the maintenance department by ensuring efficient operations through inventory management, job planning support, and system updates. Assist with purchasing and receiving of maintenance parts and supplies Manage and update the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Organize and store incoming parts in designated inventory areas Maintain an accurate and up-to-date parts inventory Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy Manage maintenance parts requests from mechanics in a timely manner Assist with job planning scheduled maintenance work Create, assign, and monitor work orders through the CMMS Coordinate with vendors and service contractors as needed Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Prepare reports and documentation as needed Administrative work for Maintenance Manager as required Any other tasks or duties as assigned. Minimum Education Required: High School/GED Job Category: Maintenance Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: EDUCATION: Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field Required: High School diploma or equivalent SKILLS: Required: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with inventory systems and CMMS is a plus Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude Ability to lift and move parts and supplies as required Forklift certified is a plus City*: Ft.
