Procurement Engineer Staff

You will be the Procurement Engineer Staff for the Upper Tier Integrated Air Missile Defense (UTIAMD) Global Supply Chain (GSC) team. Our team is responsible for reducing risk within the supply base and driving program success through strategic sourcing, requirements management, and supplier capacity modeling. As the Procurement Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the GSC team, primarily supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. You will focus on driving requirements management efforts, risk and opportunity management, and identifying affordability opportunities to support program needs. Your responsibilities will include: Leading process improvement and corrective action activities, such as controlled builds and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses Facilitating Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Purchase Order (PO) Kickoff Creating and validating supplier capacity models to inform procurement decisions Supporting GSC operations team and various initiatives to contribute to team success We're looking for a collaborative and driven Procurement Engineer to join our team. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start. Basic Qualifications: Background/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar field. Considered an emerging authority. Ability to obtain a secret clearance Ability to interact with both internal and external customers Experience working in a collaborative/team environment Ability to analyze and organize supplier data for analysis purposes Prior experience with procurement, supply chain and/or subcontracts Experience with Process Simulator or other capacity analysis tools LSS Green Belt or Black Belt certified Ability to drive process improvements and/or root cause/corrective actions utilizing quantitative analytical Risk Management Experience including the running or leading program Risk Opportunity Management Board Desired Skills: Experience in selecting and advancing suppliers for second sourcing Prior experience with system or program requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS Control Account Management experience Prior experience with coordinating all ETCs, BOEs, variance explanations, and IMS status This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
