Job Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope information. Analyze and evaluate bid proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market costs and trends for MEP systems and materials. Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project budgets without compromising quality. Present and justify estimates to internal stakeholders and clients as needed. Track and document changes to project costs throughout the bidding process. The Successful Applicant
A successful MEP Estimator should have:
Proven experience in estimating for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and drawings. Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Effective communication skills to work with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines. What's on Offer
