to find the nearest location to you. Volunteers must: Pass a free background check Complete 60-90 minutes of training at the location they've chosen Commit to coming once per week for up to 30 minutes Volunteers are paired 1:1 with a student who needs literacy support.
Reading Mentors meet once a week, at the same time, with the same student and with the same volunteer team so that volunteers are never alone with a student. These small volunteer teams come to the school during school hours for up to 30 minutes, once per week. Books and learning materials are provided. Watch our video to learn more: Read Northwest
