Under limited supervision, the incumbent executes specialized paraprofessional administrative, customer service, and clerical tasks for the Municipal Court. As the Court Clerk II/Bailiff, you will:
Efficiently coordinate courtroom activities by coordinating the involvement of counsel, litigants, victims, law enforcement, interpreters, media, and the public; ensures the judge is fully prepared with all necessary files, motions, sentencing documents, exhibits, case status information and other relevant materials from Arizona Judicial Automated Case System (AJACS). Review and maintain the accuracy of the court calendar, set court dates and sends notices to the appropriate parties. Enter accurate data into an automated information system, create and updates cases, process records, locate and retrieve files or documents, and perform routine file maintenance. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of files, paperwork, documents, and records necessary for arraignments, jail releases, bonds, warrants, orders of protection and injunctions against harassment. Receive, reconcile, and verify payments and bond monies; prepare financial reports; process payments of various tender types and from multiple sources; establish payment plans; monitor payment records; and perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy. Prepare, proofread, and submit routine court correspondence, reports, records, documents, and files. Track and monitor compliance with court orders and performs the appropriate follow up procedures. Respond to requests for sensitive information; review files and identify file completeness and compliance with appropriate statutes, rules, administrative orders and other governing policies and procedures. Assist with VOIR-DIRE jury selection & compensation for Jurors. May prepare and process marriage license applications, if deputized by the Clerk of the Superior Court. Issue marriage licenses after being deputized by the Clerk of the Superior Court. Maintain confidentiality of court proceedings, files, and documents. Safeguard the privacy and security of the jury deliberation room prior to and during deliberations. Ensure the confidentiality and well-being of jurors throughout the deliberation process. Escort jurors to meals and other locations as assigned or required. Assist with scheduling court hearings and coordinates with Yuma County Superior Court in preparation for jury trials. Oversee the jury to prevent contamination or tampering throughout the trial and deliberation process. Respond to juror needs during trial and deliberations, ensuring their comfort and security. Prepare and distribute various court-related forms to attorneys. Handle sensitive and confidential matters with the utmost professionalism. Provide clerical support and general administrative assistance as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. IDEAL CANDIDATE

Court policies and procedures. Principles and practices of communication. Will have the ability to:
Review and interpret documents regulations, legal documents, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Work under pressure in a dynamic environment with changing demands and priorities. Interpret and apply legalterminology and court policies, processes, and procedures. Coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and activities. Provide access to the court and customer service in a professional manner. Use automated information systems (AJACS) to produce documents and maintain databases. Maintain records and filing systems. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education, Training and Experience
High School Diploma or GED; and Three (3) years' experience in a Court or similar environment including one (1) year as Clerk I, preferred,
OR Any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform this work. Licenses And Certifications: All required licenses and certifications must be maintained throughout employment.
An active Arizona Driver's License at the time of appointment . Arizona Committee of Judicial Education and Training (COJECT) yearly accreditation. Special Requirements:
Residency in the United States and within 25 miles of the City of San Luis, Arizona. Must be able to type 30 wpm. Must pass a fingerprint check prior to employment. Be deputized by the Yuma County Superior Court to issue marriage licenses. Desired/Preferred:
