Job Summary:
The Network Executive Director of Surgical and Procedural Services is responsible for overseeing and directing the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the surgical and procedural services within JPS Health Network. This position oversees the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while optimizing the efficiency, safety, and financial performance of all surgical services. The role collaborates closely with physicians, surgeons, nursing staff, and administrative leaders to develop and implement strategies that promote excellence in surgical outcomes, patient experience, and service line growth. Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities: Leads the vision, strategy, and growth initiatives for surgical and procedural services, ensuring alignment with JPS Health Network's overall mission and goals. Sets clear performance targets to drive continuous enhancements in patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial health, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Cultivates strong, effective partnerships with all key stakeholders, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors, to foster a cooperative and patient-focused environment. Regularly engages with medical staff to stay informed about their perspectives on the quality of medical practice and patient care across specialties and service lines, ensuring a high standard of clinical excellence. Leads initiatives to drive process improvements within the service line, enhancing employee engagement and ensuring high levels of physician satisfaction. Works closely with executives and department leaders to support growth initiatives, identifying new opportunities for increased service volume and revenue generation. Guarantees that all procedural service lines meet legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, ensuring the organization's operations adhere to all applicable laws and standards. Ensures a clean, safe environment for both patients and staff, overseeing the management of medications, patient preparation for surgery, and immediate post-operative care to ensure safety and high-quality care. Champions a culture of safety by promoting best practices in infection control, surgical procedures, and patient safety, ensuring rigorous adherence to safety protocols across the department. Directs ongoing efforts to maintain and improve accreditation and certification standards, addressing any compliance issues promptly to ensure continuous regulatory adherence. Develops and oversees the budget for surgical and procedural services, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, and takes responsibility for managing costs to maximize efficiency and revenue. Continuously monitors financial performance and implements targeted strategies to improve revenue while maintaining the high standards of care expected in surgical services. Assesses and integrates emerging technologies, surgical techniques, and equipment innovations to improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and the overall patient experience. Develops, reviews, and approves surgical policies and procedures to ensure they are in alignment with best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards. Ensures that all protocols are regularly updated and effectively communicated to staff to maintain high standards of care and operational consistency. Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing (MSN), or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in surgical services, procedural services, or a related healthcare management role, including at least 5 years in an executive or senior leadership capacity. Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity of licensure between the State of Texas and another state. Must be maintained throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM), Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR), Certified Perianesthesia Nurse (CPAN) or Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator (CASC).
