Become a Volunteer at the NoHo Home Alliance Drop-In Access Center to help create a safe space for the unhoused population to exist in community and have their needs met. Why: NHHA's Drop-In Access Center provides a safe space for unhoused neighbors to access dignified services (food, showers, clothing, mail, medical services, etc.). Volunteers operate our service stations and directly connect with unhoused guests in an environment that promotes safety and security for all. Your volunteer work contributes to a healthier community for the unhoused! Who: NoHo Home Alliance is a nonprofit organization of residents and stakeholders in the East San Fernando Valley. NoHo Home Alliance is committed to addressing local issues around homelessness and affordable housing. What to Expect: The role of this Volunteer opportunity is to assist with operating the Access Center for Unhoused Neighbors. Responsibilities Include: Serving Food Cooking Food Operating Clothing Closet Distributing Hygiene Items Checking-In Guests Operating Mail Station What's Required Minimum Age:18+ When you arrive staff will show you around and get you set at one of the volunteer stations.
