Position Summary:
This position is responsible for cleaning all items and surfaces in assigned areas and ensuring they meet Mohegan Sun’s standards of cleanliness.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Monitors and maintains the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
Cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming using the proper chemicals, tools and equipment
Services, cleans and supplies restrooms
Empties trash containers, ashtrays and ash urns
Polishes brass surfaces
Ensures the safety of assigned keys
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports any damages to furniture, fixtures or equipment to the supervisor, as needed
Carries and maintains proper cleaning supplies for assigned tasks
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Previous cleaning experience or ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies
Must be able to communicate effectively with patrons and supervisors
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Good verbal communication skills
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques
Performs job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
Training Requirements:
Completes EVS Training Module which includes the proper use of chemicals and safety procedures
Knowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment and their proper use
Biohazard clean-up procedures
Knowledge of proper infection control and blood borne pathogens procedures and precautions
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises and low lighting
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, bend and walk large areas of the casino property for extended periods of time
Must be able to work various shift and flexible hours
